This high impact 5-day course is designed to help future or current SWAT candidates and Patrol personnel to obtain a strong working knowledge of the theory and background of SWAT, tactics used and understanding the importance of lessening the liability of your agency during critical incidents.

Other areas that are covered are but not limited to:
  • The theory and concepts of SWAT basics combined with standards for building your team
  • SWAT Case law information and how it applies to day to day operations
  • Building the proper team from Command to entry operational units
  • The purpose of SWAT teams and specialized units and the importance of consistent training
  • “Knock and announce” vs. “No knock” and flash bang trends throughout the country
  • The concept of sustainability, durability, and the important aspects of mental and physical training
  • Firearms weapon and basic entry handling skills and Use of Force for SWAT
  • Why Basic SWAT is important to first responding officers and how it can help in active shooter responses situations
  • Provide an “operational ready” mindset for participants to include leadership development from front line officers up to commander level positions
