SKYNET™ Mi-5 12 Gauge SkyNet Drone Defense
The ALS12SKY-MI5 is a patented 12ga, drone defense round designed to be rapidly deployed against
commercially available Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) that are being utilized for illegal purposes
such as unlawful surveillance or contraband delivery. This cost effective sUAS countermeasure utilizes five
ZuerilliumTM alloy fragments that are connected by ballistic Spectra® fiber tethers to expand through
centrifugal force and create a 5 ft (1.5 m) wide “capture net.” This net traps the drone’s propellers, causing it
to fail. Unlike bird shot, buck shot or a slug, the tethered design incorporates an integrated measure of safety
that creates a parachute which allows the round to return to the ground at a non-ballistic trajectory, should a
miss occur. The ALS12SKY-MI5 is designed to function from both a pump or semi-auto shotguns, with a 3”
chamber and a barrel length of 18” or greater, utilizing a cylinder, improved cylinder, or rifled choke. It is
recommended that the operator attend an ALS Less-Lethal Training Class prior to use of these rounds.
